Piccolino Restaurant

behind the scenes

The digital project behind Piccolino Capri

The Ristorante Piccolino …a Capri website was designed and built by Libellula Lab 4.0, a digital studio based in Naples and Milan, which handled strategy, design, development, SEO and optimisation for AI-powered search.

The aim is simple: to bring the intimate feel of the seven tables on Via L'Abate online, helping anyone looking for a restaurant in Capri understand at once what to expect, where it is and how to book.

The challenge and the approach

A restaurant that is small by choice needs a website that doesn't pretend to be bigger: no needless effects, just photography, video, art and a kitchen told at an easy pace.

UX/UI direction and development went hand in hand: simple navigation, a menu and wine list also available via QR code, pages devoted to the place and its art, and booking always close at hand through TheFork or by phone.

Editorial and multilingual structure

The site has separate URLs in Italian, English and French, with translations written for travellers rather than word for word, linked together with hreflang.

Alongside the restaurant pages sit Capri Magazine, with original articles on the island's traditions, food and events, and the /capri hub with practical guides on where to eat, what to do, seasons and curiosities.

Local SEO and structured data

Every page has its own title, description and canonical, a single main heading and internal links to the menu, contact and booking. Address, hours, coordinates and contacts are consistent across the site.

Structured data describes the restaurant, the website, the menus, FAQs and breadcrumbs, using real information only and no invented ratings. An up-to-date sitemap lists every language version.

Content that generative engines can read

For tools such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, content is written with direct answers, short paragraphs and descriptive headings; pages are server-rendered and an llms.txt file sums up the essentials.

None of this guarantees any ranking: it simply makes it easier for people and systems to understand who Piccolino is, what it offers and how to get there. Accessibility, performance and optimised images complete the work.
